أعلنت فرنسا عزمها على عدم التخلي عن خطط الضريبة الرقمية الوطنية الجديدة، رغم تهديدات الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب باتخاذ إجراءات انتقامية.
وقال وزير المالية الفرنسي برونو لومير، في باريس، اليوم السبت: “سنطبق هذه الضريبة طالما لم يكن هناك حل دولي”.
ووافق برلمانيون فرنسيون، في وقت سابق من هذا الشهر، على فرض ضريبة بنسبة 3% على الشركات الرقمية العملاقة من إجمالي إيراداتها في فرنسا.
وستطبق الضريبة على المبيعات التي تتم داخل فرنسا للشركات التي يتجاوز إجمالي مبيعاتها في الاقتصاد الرقمي 750 مليون يورو في جميع أنحاء العالم، و25 مليون يورو في فرنسا.
وتقول واشنطن إن تلك الضريبة تستهدف بشكل غير عادل، شركات التكنولوجيا الأمريكية العملاقة.
وندد ترامب “بحماقة” الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون إزاء هذه الضريبة، وهدد بفرض رسوم مضادة على النبيذ الفرنسي، غير أن وزير الاقتصاد الفرنسي دعا اليوم إلى عدم الخلط بين الرسوم العقابية على النبيذ والضرائب العادلة على الشركات الرقمية.
واعتبر لومير أن الضريبة الرقمية ليست موجهة إلى الشركات الأمريكية تحديداً، ولكن أيضاً إلى شركات أوروبية وصينية كبرى.
وأمل أن يتم التوصل إلى اتفاق مع الولايات المتحدة بشأن الضرائب على الشركات الرقمية العملاقة قبل قمة دول مجموعة السبع أواخر أغسطس المقبل.
