قالت جمعية حقوقية في روسيا، إن شرطة موسكو اعتقلت 520 شخصا، بينهم معارضون بارزون بسبب احتجاج سياسي قالت السلطات إنه خرج بشكل غير قانوني.
ودعا زعيم المعارضة المسجون، أليكسي نافالني، إلى لاحتجاج قرب مكتب رئيس بلدية العاصمة للضغط على السلطات حتى تسمح لمجموعة لمرشحين معارضين بالمشاركة في الانتخابات المحلية المرتقبة في الثامن من أيلول بعد استبعادهم منها.
وتسعى المظاهرة لزيادة الضغط على النظام السياسي في وقت تراجعت نسب التأييد للرئيس فلاديمير بوتن، بسبب الاستياء من انخفاض الدخل الفعلي للمواطنين، في السنوات الماضية.
من ناحيتها، تقول السلطات إن المرشحين استبعدوا من المنافسة لعدم تمكنهم من جمع عدد كاف من التوقيعات الصحيحة التي تؤيدهم، وهو مبرر ترفضه المعارضة.
ونقلت رويترز عن شهود، أن بعض من اعتقلوا كانوا مجرد مارة، لكنهم وُجدوا في المكان الخطأ وفي التوقيت الخطأ.
