اعتبر وزير الثقافة الدكتور محمد داوود أنها “جريمة بحق لبنان وبحق اللبنانيين، أن يمعن البعض في انتهاج سياسة تعطيل عمل المؤسسات، خاصة تلك التي يعول عليها اللبنانيون، بأن تكون حامية وحاضنة لأمنهم الاجتماعي والاقتصادي والسياسي، وفي مقدم هذه المؤسسات مجلس الوزراء”، متسائلا: “كيف لبلد أن يقوم ويستمر من دون حكومة؟ وكيف لنا أن نستعيد ثقة المجتمع الدولي بوطننا، ونحن نتفنن في اختلاق الأزمات؟”.
وشدد داوود خلال رعايته حفل افتتاح مدرسة “سمارت كولدج” في منطقة الحوش في قضاء صور، على أنه “لا مبرر على الإطلاق للامعان في هدر الوقت، فلا الوضع الاقتصادي، ولا الوضع المالي لخزينة الدولة، ولا الوضع المالي للمواطنين، ولا الأوضاع الإقليمية المفتوحة على احتمالات التصعيد، ولا الحرائق المشتعلة في كافة دول المنطقة، تسمح وتعطي لأي كان، وفي أي موقع كان، الحق في أن يمارس الترف، أو الدلع السياسي”.
وقال: “نعم، الظرف الذي يظلل صورة المشهد في لبنان، يستدعي من الجميع الارتقاء بالأداء والسلوك السياسيين إلى مستوى المسؤولية، وإلى المستوى الذي يقدم فيه الجميع، مصلحة لبنان واستقراره فوق أي مصلحة أخرى”، خاتماً المطلوب العودة بسرعة إلى انتظام عمل مؤسسة مجلس الوزراء، لمواكبة الاستحقاقات الواردة في الموازنة، التي أقرت في مجلس النواب، وليعقد الجميع العزم والانطلاق بمسيرة حفظ لبنان وطنا نهائيا لجميع أبنائه”.
