أعلنت مؤسسة الأبحاث “Internet Watch Foundation” التي تتخذ من المملكة المتحدة مقراً لها أن ما يقرب من نصف محتوى إساءة معاملة الأطفال على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي يتم مشاركته بشكل مفتوح على منصة المدونات الصغيرة “تويتر”.
وأظهر تقرير لصحيفة “The Telegraph” والتي وصلت إلى بيانات “IWF”، أن 49% من الصور ومقاطع الفيديو وروابط عناوين “url” التي عثر عليها على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي ومحركات البحث والخدمات السحابية في السنوات الثلاث الماضية كانت على “تويتر” – “ما يمثل 1،396 من مجموع 2835 حادث”.
ويعتبر ذلك أمرا مخيفاً لأن الصور ومقاطع الفيديو الخاصة بإساءة معاملة الأطفال قد تخطت عوامل تصفية “تويتر” وكانت متاحة لأي شخص للإطلاع عليها، ووفقاً لـ”IWF”، فهو يساعد في تقليل توفر محتوى الاعتداء الجنسي على الإنترنت، وخاصة محتوى الاعتداء الجنسي على الأطفال المستضاف في أي مكان في العالم.
